Lee County is a 1212-square-mile metropolitan area nestled along the Gulf Coast of Southwest Florida. Included are the cities of Fort Myers, Cape Coral, Sanibel, Fort Myers Beach and Bonita Springs. Of the 1212 square mile area, 804 sq. mi. is land and 408 sq. mi. is water. Lee County is home to approximately 50 miles of sandy beaches, and 70 golf courses.
Collier County is a 2305 sq. mi. metropolitan area, south of Lee County also along the Gulf Coast of Southwest Florida. Included are the cities of Naples, Marco Island, and Everglades City. Of the 2305 square mile area, 2025 sq. mi. is land and 280 sq. mi. is water. Collier County is home to approximately 30 miles of coastline, and 91 golf courses.
